Basic Competency and Donald Trump
Who is qualified to lead the nation with the most dominant economy (even now), the largest military, the most deadly nuclear arsenal, which supposedly stands for modern democracy and is supposedly its steward and guardian worldwide? (Ha!)
If they’d checked his serial bankrupt record, he wouldn’t even qualify for a bank loan, except through dodgy Putin-backed/oligarch-funded, Deutsche Bank, money-laundering loans, let alone the (supposed) ‘business management’ of a nation. At the time Trump was elected, no reputable U.S. or British bank would touch him. He was anathema to credit agencies worldwide.
If they’d even given him a driver’s license test, he wouldn’t have qualified.
If his own party, sensing an imminent social, economic, moral and political disaster on the near horizon, had had him sit for the basic citizenship test, he would have flunked spectacularly, knocking him out of the primary, back down where he belongs. And forget him being able to pass, or even understand, a basic high school civics test.
How about a 5th-grade reading competency test? And forget modern ethics, modern governance or the Constitution. If the Republicans had even given him the basic mental health testing required for your average cop to qualify to wear the badge, he wouldn’t have made it beyond question three.
He doesn’t qualify on any level, for much of anything.
